One that Moyo and I did...

The change drastic change of summer to winter came incredibly fast.
She lacked the time to look back on her past.
The warmth of love was then differed to the cold, nonchalant attitude of nothingness.
The rush of heat within her body became replaced with such a numbness that she had never felt. Was this the long awaited season of joy and happiness she couldn't wait for?

It seemed just to linger around...
like... is there something more?
is this what she wanted all along, or
was this her heart felt desires gone wrong?
As she sat and thought on this drastic change
an even colder feeling came upon her
a coldness so strange it had her deranged
she did not know what she wanted anymore
is this really the awaited season she longed looked to adore?
did she make a mistake the prior season before?
She couldn't take it, tears began to pour
her heart was heavy from the feelings she bore
she looked again at her past and swore,
that very soon her present would surely contrast
days came and days went and time slowly passed,
The change, drastic change of winter to spring came at last

Leaked #1

So this isn't finished... but i'm kinda stuck for a while... so i guess mid-writing ima post some up here as part of the "Leaked" collection... happy readings lol...

As my mind wonders off i get to thinking,

Why do i even care past the thought of even blinking,

Settle deeper down under depression and slowly sinking,

I am this close to solving all my problems by simply drinking... ok

Even deeper down you go, life seeming

to have no sense of meaning or any visual depth

Cannot perceive any sign of life except your last breath,

Feeling like your just a placeholder on this world at best...

everyone you want to care seem to never mind

And the ones that do, you wonder why they waste their time...

Thank Him Now?? (Thank Me Later album review)

Ok, haven't posted anything in a long time and i just heard the thank me later CD so i decided i should talk bout how i feel bout this. Let me start about what I think bout Drake. Mr. Graham is a really good artist and i feel that he stays true to himself with his music. He has very creative punchlines and most of the time putting him on a hook is like gettin T-pain... most of the time its going to be a successful/catchy song just cause of that.

So we start with Fireworks ... an Alicia Keys collabo ... Drake comes in like expected, nice lyrics... drake and Alicia sing the chorus... pretty good... really good start... not a POW i'm here intro but a good song to slowly build up...

Then we have Karaoke ... starts of like a track from 808's and heartbreak... and after a min of drake singing its like ok... is he going to rap... it finally comes like 2 mins into the song, and mayb lasts 30 seconds... then back to the singing and beat for the rest of the song... its an ok song... but doesn't seem like the drake we've been waiting for...

Next up... The Resistance ... another 808's type beat... drake singing in the beginning... then the beat drops ...you can call it that... and drake starts flowing... beat continues but we're kindof starting t0 hear the drake we are use to... The chorus is drake singing... makes you start thinking bout girls breaking drake's heart like always... again... a pretty good song... feels like a song you listen to that matches your mood when your a bit depressed...

After The Resistance... we have Over... one of the songs on here that feels like So Far Gone Drake... headbumping beat... Cool Flow that matches... not much else to say... classic Drake...

Ok ... it seems that once Over comes through... the beats and mood improves.... Show me a good time is another with a nice beat and Drake flow... the chorus again has drake singing... but its closer to the singing in Over than the singing from the beginning tracks...

Up All Night is the first song since the intro that features anyone else... fellow Young Money artist Nicki Minaj provides lyrics for this great beat... seems like we are starting to steadily get the Drake that we know... most people who i talk to about music know i like Nicki Minaj... i admit that she has her off moments... but she is really good when she is good...

Then the T.I. featured Fancy comes up... Swizz Beatz is also on this track so he obviously did the beat... the chorus is done by Swizz... and just doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the song or the beat... Drake again steps up to the mic and produces nice lyrics... ever since T.I. came back... doesn't seem like he could go wrong... and again he delivers... Come on Swizz... the beat is enough...

Shut it Down comes next... This song features The Dream... it comes off as more of a song from Love King feat. Drake than anything else.... its all singing (except for a small part in between for drake) and smooth R&B style instrumentals... its also a really long song... almost 7 mins...

Drake brings Jeezy to help with Unforgettable ...Jeezy is on the chorus and drake sings at the end of the chorus... Jeezy has a verse on it and Jeezy is consistent... good flow...

Then comes Light Up featuring Jay-Z ...what rapperhas Jay-Z on their debut album? ... you have Kanye... and probably j cole... these people were brought up by Jay... Wale didn't even have Jay on his debut... but anyway... this song is one of the best on the cd... drake holds his own with a legend like Jay on the track... beat is a perfect Jay beat and he did his thing aswell... Drake on the Chorus singing like show me a good time

Miss Me ... sounds like a mixtape song in general... its very drake/wayne collabo... beat flow... its just like they have fun making songs together lol...

Cece's Interlude is drake singing... parts sound like he may start rapping... but na... not this one... he sings about a girl turning him down... and how he wished he was back in school ... have a guitar solo close to the ending...

Second to Last song is Find Your Love... this is a good catchy beat... and even catchier hook... This singing fits drake very well... its more like a small spoken word mixed with singing... it works well for him...

Last and definitely not least... Thank Me Now... This is probably my favorite track on here... the beat is simple but efficient... Drake is full out bringing his stuff for 5 plus mins (sounds like Jay flow chorus... kanye/Lupe flow verses...) this seems like what most were expecting most of the album would be like... great track

Thank Me Later is a pretty good collection of songs but i feel that its not what everyone was expecting and hoping for... Like throughout the whole album there isn't really a song that pops out like his songs from So Far Gone... and at times it starts sounded like 808's and heartbreak (I thought 808's was a great cd... but most people don't see it that way)... the reason most people didn't like 808's was not because it was bad music... but they would rather listen to Graduation Kanye with his smooth samplin beats and rhymes rather than heartcrying singing... i feel the same with the first part of Thank Me Later... So Far Gone's best songs had beats that were amazing and Drake's rhymes were very sharp and vivid... Thank Me Later is not the same Drake we were expecting... but i feel like it is the same quality ... just a different style and approach... its closer to a 4 out of 5 stars album... Worth the listen to...

NEW YORK !! and I :)

Ok so lately i have been thinking about females... i like females... if u don't like females... u just don't belong around me lol... jk... but anyways back to my thoughts... so i was sitting around thinking bout females that i like/liked and i have come to the conclusion that females from NY have some kind of mechanism that attracts me ..idk... mayb it is the "tough" exterior they portray at times when they are really soft inside, not sure... but there is something about them that catches my inner eye... and the thing is i have never been to NY, i might have flown over it ... mayb... not sure ...ok, but...while i was pondering my new found thought i realized that my last two Girlfriends (didn't live in New York while we were together) are "from" New York... so then i start thinking about my celebrity crushes... one of them is Teyana Taylor... ever since she was on that Sweet 16 show... and recently i watched season 1 of Run's House (you can watch all the episodes at Fancast.com) and young Angela Simmons was very cute... present day Angela is cute... but i personally thing 18/19 year old Angela was much nicer looking... oh!! and her cousin Jessica is a cutie too... idk if it is the accent... cus my GFs didn't have much of that...it came out sometimes... or just the attitude.... might be the attitude... but there is just something about Girls From New York and I!!!

Occupancy Of The Mind

Here is a piece i did that i thought i should share... seems pretty cool... kinda has a Dr. Seuss (Childhood Hero) flow to it... it is Called Occupancy of the mind and um... its a pretty straight forward poem... no hidden meanings or anything... so here it goes :


My mind is occupied,
By thoughts of what has died,
The forward-backward stride,
Like going against the great tide


The great tide of a mighty force,
Not careful and get forced by the source,
Not mindful and one could forget the course,
Leading to dreadful remorse


My mind is occupied,
With the thought of you by my side
The thought of you with me,
The thought that has been denied


Still I think the thought,
The thought that I have long sought,
The magnificent dream that I have caught,
And would not let go, whether true or not


My mind is occupied,
From my wakeup, all day through,
My mind is over-occupied,
And always about you.

Hello World!!

Hello World,

The name is La Mare F. Genius, and the F is for a bunch of ish lol. well this is my first blog and i am not 100% on exactly what my blogspot is going to be about, but one of my friends pushed me towards starting one. you should checkout "The Friend"'s blog... we will call her... PrettyNATURAL(<-- Click here) lol... So far i am thinking about making this about my interest mostly. So you might see some posts about music, picture editing, computer programming, sports, poems and much more. i guess whatever i decide to express. this Intro post is called Hello World cus in computer programming that is usually the first program you do in classes and since i want to be a computer programmer when i grow up (ye im still growing) it fits lol... well thats all for now... don't forget to check out PrettyNATURAL's blog... it's bout her, and natural hair and other girly stuff lol... and check out my Booskiieeezzyy's blog aswell hers is about fashion mostly since she wants to "do fashion" for a living...
